It's the most simple/efficient CLI available today to interact with vCloud Director, unfortunately requires the Windows version of PowerCLI only.
It would greatly benefit to every vCAN Provider (VMware Cloud Provider Program now)
Current alternative is vcd-cli from Paco Gomez (Python based): https://github.com/vmware/vcd-cli
We need VMWare PowerCLI to do manage several thing in vCenter Server AND vCloud Director. Now we need to upgrade VDC to version 9.x, because of a bug which hits us, but there is still no PowerCLI version supported for vCD 9.x. Needed soon ;-)
Just upgraded to VCD 9.1 and really need these please chaps. Can't run reports on CIRoles.
Working hard on this, my dudes!
We use PowerCLI to generate reports from vCloud Director for billing our customers. The lack of support from PowerCLI for vCD v9 prohibits us to upgrade to vCD v9. PowerCLI support for vCD v9 is needed soon.
PowerCLI is needed for vCD 9.0. When will it be available?
Timo - What advantages does PowerCLI give you over the python based vcd-cli, and vice versa? Do you use both tools? How do you decide which to use for a particular task?
Also, this is really two feature requests. ;)
@Bjorn, indeed :)
We want feature parity!
